The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Indiana University Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified Gynecologic Oncologist to serve as Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology. The successful candidate will join a robust and expanding academic program that serves as Indiana’s primary referral center for complex gynecologic cancer care. With a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment; strong clinical volumes; and deep commitment to education and research, this opportunity is ideal for a mid-career or senior faculty leader seeking meaningful academic impact within a nationally recognized health system.
Position Highlights
- Lead a growing division of five gynecologic oncologists and three advanced practice providers, with ongoing program expansion.
- Provide full-scope gynecologic oncology care, including open, robotic, and laparoscopic surgery, chemotherapy management, and oncology consultation.
- Primary practice sites include IU Health University Hospital and the IU Melvin & Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, Indiana’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additional care locations include IU North Hospital (Carmel) and Eskenazi Health (Indianapolis), with planned expansion to IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Faculty also support complex obstetrical emergencies at Riley Hospital for Children.
- Support multidisciplinary cancer care alongside radiation oncology, pathology, genomics, palliative care, social work, and patient-navigation services.
- Participate in a rotating service model, including inpatient consults, OR time, and outpatient oncologic care.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, with opportunities to support the department’s pending Gynecologic Oncology fellowship.
- Engage in research, quality improvement, surgical simulation, clinical trials, and academic leadership aligned with areas of interest and expertise.

Qualifications
- MD/DO and Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology (ABOG).
- Completion of a Gynecologic Oncology fellowship (required).
- Demonstrated leadership experience within an academic medical center.
- Expertise in comprehensive gynecologic cancer management, including minimally invasive surgery and chemotherapy.
