Summary:
The Bio-Medical Technician I maintains medical therapeutic, diagnostic and monitoring equipment and systems in order to ensure safety, reliability and proper operation; ensures equipment meets manufacturers specifications; maintains similar non-medical equipment systems.

Responsibilities:

Performs preventative maintenance on medical therapeutic and monitoring equipment; assures compliance with applicable codes and manufactures specifications.

Performs repairs and calibrations on medical therapeutic, diagnostic and monitoring equipment.

Completes preventative maintenance and repair work orders and documents the information and test results into biomedical equipment software.

Performs inspections and/or installations on new medical equipment and properly enters the equipment information into the biomedical equipment software inventory.

Maintains biomedical equipment supplies inventory; anticipating needs and managing orders.

Works with outside vendors and service representatives on specialized equipment.

Keeps work area and storage areas clean and orderly; keeps tools clean, appropriately stored, and in proper working condition; keeps all tools securely stored in proper working condition.

Other duties as assigned.
