Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for Atlantic Hematology/Oncology at Atlantic Medical Group in Morristown NJ area.
Our entry level CMA offers start at $21.10 / hour and increase based upon experience.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Certified Medical Assistant - Under the direction of a physician, takes appropriate clinical actions using available resources, to achieve positive outcomes for patients, visitors, and staff.
Independently prioritizes daily tasks and assignments.
Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement in order to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Responds to urgent and unplanned situations in a timely manner.
The CMA will support clinical operations of physicians by performing services related to patient care in an ambulatory setting to include managing patient flow, vital signs, medical and family history intake, documentation in electronic medical records, refills, medication authorizations, assist with scheduling patient appointments and answering phones including triage of all non-administrative calls.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma required
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Minimum Experience:
Ability to travel to satellite locations centrally located near Morristown
One year outpatient experience preferred
Phlebotomy experience preferred
EMR experience desired
License/Certification:
MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
