Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for Palliative Care/IP Hospice Unit at Morristown Medical Center. The shift is 7A-3P including every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
- Assisting patients with daily activities
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Administering basic treatments
- Helping to ensure a safe care environment
- Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
- Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have positive customer service skills
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED Required
Related Experience:
- 1 year of acute care NA experience or nursing student
Certifications:
- BLS preferred
