Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Radiation Therapist for the Oncology Department at Hackettstown Medical Center to work 8:00am - 4:00pm, no weekends.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed dose of radiation in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription
Fabricate and use custom immobilization for accurate patient treatment
Perform daily quality assurance of linear accelerator prior to the start of patient treatment
Educate patient and there caregiver by answering questions about radiation
Monitor patients for radiation side effects and alert nurses when necessary
Charge capture patient treatment and review charges for accuracy
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program required
Minimum Experience:
1-3 years experience working as a Radiation Therapist preferred. Will consider a new graduate.
Licenses/Certifications:
Active NJ Radiation Therapist License required
ARRT certified
BLS
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Varian TrueBeam, Aria and Epic preferred
