Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Radiation Therapist for the Oncology Department at Hackettstown Medical Center to work 8:00am - 4:00pm, no weekends.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed dose of radiation in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription
- Fabricate and use custom immobilization for accurate patient treatment
- Perform daily quality assurance of linear accelerator prior to the start of patient treatment
- Educate patient and there caregiver by answering questions about radiation
- Monitor patients for radiation side effects and alert nurses when necessary
- Charge capture patient treatment and review charges for accuracy
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program required
Minimum Experience:
- 1-3 years experience working as a Radiation Therapist preferred. Will consider a new graduate.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active NJ Radiation Therapist License required
- ARRT certified
- BLS
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Varian TrueBeam, Aria and Epic preferred
