Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for Transfusion Services at Chilton Medical Center to work 10:30PM - 6:30AM, including every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Perform laboratory testing and repot results according to SOP
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment
Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation
Maintain and manage laboratory inventory
Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team
Maintain competencies and continuing education
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Associate's degree with a minimum of three years' experience or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution. Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation
Minimum Experience:
Previous laboratory experience highly preferred, but not necessary, new MLS/ CLS graduates welcome
License/Certification:
ASCP certification or eligible preferred
