Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for Transfusion Services at Chilton Medical Center to work 10:30PM - 6:30AM, including every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and repot results according to SOP
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment
- Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation
- Maintain and manage laboratory inventory
- Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team
- Maintain competencies and continuing education
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Associate's degree with a minimum of three years' experience or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution. Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation
Minimum Experience:
Previous laboratory experience highly preferred, but not necessary, new MLS/ CLS graduates welcome
License/Certification:
- ASCP certification or eligible preferred
