Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Director of Infection Prevention for the Quality & Patient Safety Department at our Corporate office in Morristown to work 8AM-4PM.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
This vital leadership position reports directly to the AHS CMO and VP of Quality.
Directs, manages and ensures ongoing compliance with the infection prevention and control standards across Atlantic Health System.
Services as the primary resource on all regulatory standards related to infection prevention and control.
Coordinates the infection control programs within Atlantic Health System and is given the authority to implement, coordinate and enforce all surveillance, prevention and control program policies.
This position has system-wide responsibilities and assumes 24/7 responsibility and accountability for infection prevention practices and process at all AHS medical centers.
Must use databases for tracking and reporting data.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Master's Degree in a health-care field required.
Minimum Experience:
2-4 years supervisory experience preferred.
5 years of recent lnfection Prevention/Control experience working in an acute care setting preferred
System experience is a plus
Licenses/Certifications:
Current professional nurse license issued by the state of NJ required
CBIC certification in lnfection Control required
Association for Practitioners in lnfection Control (APIC) training course or equivalent preferred
Qualifications:
Candidate must have computer skills with knowledge of NHSN, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills preferred.
Current regulatory knowledge (CMS and TJC) and current Evidence Based Practice knowledge.
Strong experience with a service excellence culture preferred.
