Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant for Deskovick 3- Spine unit at Morristown Medical Center to work from 11PM to 7AM, including every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
- Assisting patients with daily activities
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Administering basic treatments
- Helping to ensure a safe care environment
- Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
- Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player willing to work in a cohesive team with primary focus on patient safety, quality and satisfaction
- Must be able to assist in organizational throughout as an extension of the Preoperative team
- Must possess ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment with a focus on Patient Satisfaction and Teamwork
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
License/Certifications:
- BLS preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
Relevant Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in acute care
