Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking multiple Full Time Certified Medical Assistants for Gastroenterology, part of Atlantic Medical Group for Morristown office - with flexiblity to travel to Summit, Rockaway, and Bridgewater.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- The Certified Medical Assistant CMA will perform clinical as well as administrative functions; i.e. (vital signs, patient intake, room patients).
- Certfied Medical Assistant position will focus on procedure scheduling, reviewing patient questionnaires; authorizations/precerts. and performing fibroscan procedures - training will be provided.
Will need extra help with answering phones, and as back up to prior auths.
Qualifications
Education of Certified Medical Assistant:
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Qualifications/Requirements of Certified Medical Assistant:
- MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
Post externship experience preferred
Valid Driver's license required as travel between sites may be requested
EMR experience desired
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred for Certified Medical Assistant
