Atlantic Health System is seeking multiple Full Time Certified Medical Assistants for Gastroenterology, part of Atlantic Medical Group for Morristown office - with flexiblity to travel to Summit, Rockaway, and Bridgewater.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
The Certified Medical Assistant CMA will perform clinical as well as administrative functions; i.e. (vital signs, patient intake, room patients).
Certfied Medical Assistant position will focus on procedure scheduling, reviewing patient questionnaires; authorizations/precerts. and performing fibroscan procedures - training will be provided.
Will need extra help with answering phones, and as back up to prior auths.
Qualifications
Education of Certified Medical Assistant:
High School Diploma required
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Qualifications/Requirements of Certified Medical Assistant:
MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
Post externship experience preferred
Valid Driver's license required as travel between sites may be requested
EMR experience desired
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred for Certified Medical Assistant
