Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for the Atlantic Medical Group Nephrology at Union.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a physician, takes appropriate clinical actions using available resources, to achieve positive outcomes for patients, visitors, and staff. Independently prioritizes daily tasks and assignments.
Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement in order to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Responds to urgent and unplanned situations in a timely manner.
The CMA will support clinical operations of physicians by performing services related to patient care in an ambulatory setting to include managing patient flow, vital signs, medical and family history intake, spirometry, six minute walk testing, and documentation in electronic medical records. Front end responsibilities will include triage of all non-administrative calls to offices to include medication renewals, acuity of illness, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma required
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program
Minimum Experience:
Ability to travel among sites essential
One year outpatient experience preferred
EMR experience desired
License/Certification:
MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
