Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a Full Time Medical Office Associate to join the GI department in Summit, NJ. Monday through Friday hours, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Phone Coverage: Answer, handle, phone calls in a timely and efficient manner. Utilize appropriate telephone etiquette.
Scheduling: Using general scheduling guidelines appropriately schedule patient appointments selecting appropriate visit type/length of visit. May be required to schedule meetings for physicians.
Registration: Greets patient promptly upon arrival to practice. Accurately collects and documents time-of-service payments. Verifies/collects: demographics, emergency contact information, and insurance information. Correctly registers patients in system, including registration paperwork.
EMR: Accurately enters information into EMR. Uses EMR for prescriptions, phone notes, referrals, outreach, check-out, etc.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; knowledge of how to assist patients in a timely manner with concerns and/or complaints
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications/Requirements:
1-3 years experience
Prior administrative experience in a physician practice required
Computer literacy essential
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong customer service skills a must
