Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Certified Medical Office Associate for the AMG Cardio-Heart Success Program at Morristown Medical Center.
Cardiology experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Reviews daily appointment schedule with provider and develops a plan for patient care activities
- Obtains Pre-Op paperwork, labs, referral consultation notes, and hospitalization and ED records prior to appointment
- Processes lab letters, referrals and forms, and obtains prior authorizations for medications, referrals and tests per insurance requirements
- Tracks labs and referrals, scans and indexes appropriate documents, documents all communication with patient per EPIC standards
- Collaborates with team to accommodate same day requests, checks and responds to emails and pools daily
- Ensures work area is stocked with current forms for daily work and computer downtime
- Manage patient flow, room patients, perform vital signs, medication check, EKG's, phlebotomy, etc.
- Work with the administrative staff managing phones and triaging calls, checking in patients and filling medication refill requests with physician collaboration.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalentrequired
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years medical practice experience required
- One (1) year of Cardiology experience preferred
- must have CCMA from NHA, NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AMCA, AAMA
