Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Surg Technologist I for the Operating Room Department at Overlook Medical Center to work 7am-5pm, including on-call and 1-2 weekend shift in 6 weeks.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
- Functions to act as a sterile member of the nursing team in the OR and to assist surgeons.
- Proficiently performs the role of surgical technologist.
- Anticipates surgeon's needs for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Maintains sterility.
- Possesses knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
- Performs counts, handles specimens special equipment and instrumentation for various surgical procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma / GED required
- Certified Surgical Tech or Associates Degree in Surgical Technology
Minimum Experience:
- 1-2 years experience preferred in hospital setting
License/Certification:
- BLS certification required
