Atlantic Health System is seeking a full time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department at Overlook Medical Center, to work 7PM - 7AM including every third weekend.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the ED Manager.
Responsible for the daily operations, staffing, and monitoring of ED volume/flow of the department.
Monitoring the daily shift management tools and adherence to core staffing as per budget.
Utilize the nursing process and model of Shared Governance to collaborate with team members and other disciplines.
Promote evidence based care, demonstrates PRIDE values, collaborating along with both nursing and physician ED Leadership Team.
Excellent communication and computer skills required.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
BSN preferred
Minimum Experience:
National certification preferred or obtains within 1 year of hire. Membership in national nursing organization. 3-5 years current acute care ED experience required; membership in unit or site committees and clinical ladder/PACT preferred.
License/Certifications:
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
BLS required
ACLS required
PALS preferred
CEN preferred
