Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Care Unit at Overlook Medical Center to work 7AM - 7:30PM, including on-call and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
The Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) Nursing Coordinator will be part of the CCU leadership team responsible for guiding patient care, through systematic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in collaboration with other health care disciplines across the continuum of care. The candidate will participate in interdisciplinary rounds focused on meeting the needs of the patient and family. The candidate will be a champion for patient and staff satisfaction. The CCU Nursing Coordinator will share responsibility in assessing the quality of patient care delivered by the unit staff and drive improvements as indicated. He/she will share responsibility for performance appraisals of unit personnel. The candidate will work with the manager regarding staff hiring, promotions, discipline, and terminations.
The coordinator will be responsible to monitor staff documentation to ensure that it is consistently complete and comprehensive. He/ she will be a resource to staff regarding regulatory and JCAHO initiatives (i.e., National Patient Safety Goals, Restraints). Will collaborate with the manager, other coordinators, UBSG Council, clinical nurse specialists, and educators in meeting the unit's educational needs. Will facilitate and engage in effective problem-solving. The candidate will demonstrate effective communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
The Clinical Coordinator will meet the requirements of an RN criteria based performance appraisal, and adhere to established standards of care. The coordinator will demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and professional growth. Will participate in hospital-wide committees; comply with all hospital policies and procedures, and model Atlantic Health System PRIDE Values.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
BSN preferred
Minimum Experience:
5+ years critical care experience
License/Certifications:
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
BLS Required
ACLS Required
