Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Admitting Representative in the Pre-Procedure Evaluation Center at Morristown Medical Center working primarily 7:30am-3:30pm including every other Saturday.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Accurately performs all functions of patient registration for their PAT appointment or outpatient lab/x-ray, including reviewing all information with patient, completing all information needed in Epic and scans appropriate insurance cards and photo identification.
Collects drawing fees from patients if needed at time of service and issues appropriate payment receipts.
Performs insurance verification when necessary.
Makes sure that the appropriate documents and labels are in the patients' charts prior to handing off to phlebotomy.
Respects privacy, property, and confidentiality with sensitivity to the diverse cultures served.
Consistently performs daily responsibilities.
Must be a Team player.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
1 year experience as a registrar preferred.
Past Epic training preferred
Qualifications
Candidate must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
