PCH is looking for a Clinical Nurse for our Nurse Specialty Program, ACES. The program is also known the Center for Resiliency and Wellbeing. Incumbent will provide guidance, and direction to families who have experienced major adversity and/ or had to deal with trauma. The ideal candidate will have strong listening and empathy skills, be passionate about education, and most importantly, instructing patients and their caregivers various types of contemporary and integrative coping skills to deal with the stress as a result of the trauma. If you have a passion for working with children , teens and their parents/ caregivers and want to have a positive impact on their future, then this is the position for you. This position will be demanding, and yet one of the most rewarding positions as you work with patients and families to help meet them at their needs and build skills of resiliency. This is a full time position, M -F, 8 AM - 5 PM, but open to part time if meets the criteria. NO holidays/weekends/call!! Position will be located at the main hospital, and/or the East Valley locations.
This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
