Job Summary: Medical Assistant to provide various duties in the Urgent Care Clinic setting. Duties include preforming as directed by provider and/or nurse, contributes to patient care by preparing patient for visit, collecting and completing laboratory specimen testing, obtaining x-rays, patient education, obtaining vital signs, maintains medical record with required documentation and assisting provider with minor procedures. Assists with organization of incoming mails and test results. Medical Assistant to organize clinic and exam rooms, maintain supply and equipment inventory, and assist with clinic housekeeping duties. Seeks and assists other staff members with tasks if time allows.
Qualifications: High school diploma or its equivalent. Knowledge of basic vitals, clerical skills such as filing, typing, and basic computer skills. Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks quickly and efficiently. Ability to work well with others, and to have good personal skills and caring with the patients is a must. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic Life Support certification.
