At Centura Health, we value incredible people with incredible skills - but your commitment to a greater cause is something we value even more.  Job Description:* The Histology Tech Lead is a frontline leadership position responsible for performance and oversight of routine testing within the histology laboratory. * Responsible for day-to-day oversight of operations of assigned shift(s) in histology department, including staff scheduling and monitoring and improving workflow within area. * Serves as a liaison with other laboratory departments and hospital services.* This position serves as a department resource and assists in process improvement initiatives and department compliance with pertinent laboratory accreditation and regulatory requirements, such as CLIA, CAP, TJC, and OSHA. * Consistently functions in a self-directed manner and exhibits excellent communication and complex problem-solving skills.What You Bring/Job Requirements: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * 1 year experience in histology lab required* 2 years experience in histology lab preferred* Associate Degree Required* Histology Technician, HT Certification through the ASCP, Required* Histotechnologist Certification through the ASCP, PreferredPhysical Requirements - Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequentlyYour Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen.
