The Surgical Services Manager has the knowledge and experience to ensure quality perioperative care and stay abreast of best practice. The Surgical Services Manager will supervise the Surgical Services staff and training/orientation/continuing education. The Surgical Services Manager will manage the budget and supplies; maintain and develop policies and procedure, surgery schedule, staffing, equipment, monthly reports, and QA programs; attend required meetings and inservices. The Perioperative Registered Nurse uses professional organizations such as AORN, State Licensing Boards, etc., as guidelines for nursing practice. The Surgical Services Manager will provide a safe environment for the surgery patient and encourage a safety culture. The Surgical Services Manager will perform the duties of the Perioperative Registered Nurse as needed.
