Location: US:PA:Camp HIll Work Type: Part Time FTE: 0.50 Shift: Evening Hours: 2:30p - 11:00p with rotating weekends and holidays
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for receiving laboratory specimens (blood and other body fluids), insuring specimen identity and acceptability; entering orders for laboratory testing into the Lab Information System; and entering patient demographic and insurance information into the patient registration system. Prepares specimens for analysis. Answers telephone and provides information related to specimen requirements, test availability, specimen testing status; provides laboratory results. Prepares specimens for referral to outside reference laboratories and insures that all storage requirements are met.
High School Diploma plus additional training or equivalent required
Six (6) months job related experience preferred
