The Medical Office Associate II acts as a resource/lead to other front office staff, and provides front office support to clinical operations. Works with a diverse patient population to ensure accuracy of patient intake, registration, payments, and scheduling, and routinely answers phone calls and provides assistance to inquiries. The MOA II works under the daily supervision of the Medical Office Supervisor and/or assigned staff. Must be detail oriented with good interpersonal and customer service skills.
Assists with scheduling of more complex patient population and procedures
Helps create and enter new provider and resident templates using appropriate software
Assists with the orientation and training of new front office staff as necessary, and acts as a first line resource/lead to other front office staff as needed
In conjunction with the Medical Office Supervisor and/or Practice Site Manager, may provide input on the hiring of other front office staff
High School Diploma or equivalent required
One (1) year of Medical Office related experience required
Must have current HMC MOA Certification or obtain MOA Certification within three (3) months of hire
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Basic computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively interact with a variety of staff and patients
Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment
Ability to maintain effective working relationship with other employees
Ability to solve problems, or seek assistance from supervisor when necessary
Associates degree preferred.
