Working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Penn State Health, you are the heart and backbone of patient care. The Licensed Practical Nurse at Nyes road in Harrisburg will offer you the opportunity to work in three (3) different pediatric specialties with a multi-disciplinary team: Pediatric Cardiology, General Pediatrics & Pediatric Weight Management. This role will offer various responsibilities with patient interaction including rooming, assessment, vaccination/medication administration, well visit screenings, EKGs, holt monitors, point of care testing, etc. Opportunity for growth, quality and safety projects as well as participation in a team-oriented environment. This role will primarily be based out of the Nyes Road clinic but may require some minimal travel to the Children's Heart Group outreach sites. (Less than 4 days per month).
ABOUT PENN STATE HEALTH MEDICAL GROUP PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY
Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current license to practice in the state - of PA or eligible for licensure in PA required.
One (1) year experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferred.
Able to stand & sit constantly; walk frequently.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-50 lbs. occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs. frequently; 21-75 lbs. occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
