The role you’ll contribute:
The interventional technologist is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team consisting of interventional radiologists, nurses and technologists. Interventional technology procedures consist of diagnostic angiography, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.

- Technologist is proficient on the use of their specific imaging equipment and the department's policies and procedures
- Independently operate imaging equipment in a safe and proper fashion
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with all staff, patients, families and Imaging services administration
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with all staff, patients, families and Imaging services admin
- Works with other modality staff to facilitate patient care across modalities
- Recognizes when their patient also has exams in other modalities and is able to facilitate the process
- Works well with other departments (ED, OR etc) to facilitate patient care
- Able to follow processes that are in place that govern or apply cross departmental care
- Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required meetings and staff development programs
- Attends required meetings and staff development programs
- Follows the proper HR policies to insure accurate badging in and out on time each shift
- Meets function requirement
- Efficient utilization of department supplies and resources
- Follows established department guidelines
- Recognizes and reports malfunctions in equipment, d/c use before a more costly repair is needed
- Follows departmental protocol on broken equipment
- Demonstrates competency and knowledge of specific supplies needed. Able to perform cost containment and minimize waste
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge in proper supply selection for specific exams
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED upon hire
- Diploma from an approved school of Radiologic Technology upon hire
- Two years’ experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist
- Current ARRT certification upon hire
- Current Florida State license in Radiologic Technology upon hire
- Basic Life Support Certification upon hire
