Shift: 10:30am - 11pm wth rotating weekends

The role you’ll contribute:
The Mission Control RN Tier 1 is a professional registered nurse functioning withing Mission Control in one of three primary roles. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: plan, prioritize, organize, direct and control all admissions and transfers between hospitals, departments and/or nursing units for AdventHealth. . The Mission Control RN is a highly trained professional with independent decision-making responsibilities, that must be applied based on telephone or electronic communication only. Utilizes complex acuity algorithms for time-sensitive medical events. Collaborates with physicians and departments within the Advent Health system as well as other facilities across the southeastern U.S. and internationally. Highly effective in critical clinical fact gathering and analysis, to identify appropriate levels of care, timely acceptance and specialty care needed for transport.

•Maintains communication with referring physicians and transferring hospitals regarding anticipated bed availability or access delays. (Excellence)
•Evaluates all available hospital beds and develops contingency bed management plans with operational leaders to ensure daily operations are not interrupted.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associate and 2+ years experience
- Registered Nurse
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
- Certified Emergency Nurse
- Certified Critical Nurse
- Certified Mental Health Professional
