The Chaplain assists patients with spiritual and faith based needs during their hospital stay.
Provides guidance, recommendations and resources.
The Chaplain ensures religious beliefs are being considered in plan of care.
Minimum: Graduate of an accredited college or university. Graduate professional degree from an accredited theological school. Four quarters of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC Preferred: Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school. One year residency from an accredited ACPE center
Minimum: Pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience of two (2) years. Preferred: Clinical pastoral experience of two (2) years
Eligible for APC or Cognate group endorsement. Ecclesiastical endorsement Preferred: Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or itâ��s affiliate cognate group. Ecclesiastical endorsement by faith group. Ordained by faith group.
