Smith County Memorial Hospital is looking for a billing office manager to join its finance and patient accounts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations related to revenue generation and cash flow including patient registration, billing of claims to patients and third parties, denials and posting payments. They will facilitate communication between billing and other hospital and clinic departments. They should have excellent customer service skills and expect to have a patient-facing role.
This position is a leadership role responsible for managing and training staff in registration and accounts receivable. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business is preferred. Applicants should have a strong understanding of billing and collection processes for critical access hospitals and rural health clinics.
