Overview M Health Fairview is looking for an Advanced Practice Nurse leader to help to support our Oncology and adult/pediatric BMT patient populations at UMMC and in our acute care settings across the system. The Advance Practice Nurse Leader (APNL) demonstrates expert knowledge and skill in a specialty patient population. The APNL leads work, processes, and people to design, develop, implement and evaluate innovative, evidence-based interventions and best practices to optimize safety, quality and cost-effectiveness. The APNL generates and evaluates evidence for practice through partnership with nurses and other members of the inter-professional team and demonstrates professional leadership in work at the patient, microsystem and macrosystem levels. - Prescribes nursing therapeutics, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, diagnostic measures, equipment, procedures, and treatments to meet the needs of patients, families, and groups, in accordance with professional preparation, institutional privileges, state and federal laws and practice acts.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities: Required Education - Masters degree in Nursing
Experience - 3 or more years of nursing experience
License/Certification/Registration - Current MN RN License
- Licensed in Minnesota as an Advanced Practice RN (CNS, NP, CRNA, CNM)
- BLS certification
Required Life Support by Clinical Grouping: - ED: PALS, ACLS
- Critical Care/cardiac telemetry: ACLS
- Post-operative (Phase 1 only): ACLS, PALS/PEARS (if site does pediatric surgery, site dependent)
- Maternity/NICU: NRP
- Pediatrics: PALS/PEARS
- Behavioral/mental health: Code Green/BCS
Preferred Education - Doctor of Nursing Practice or Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Science
Experience - 6 or more years Nursing experience
- 1 year or more APRN experience
License/Certification/Registration - Recognized ANCC certification in Nursing Specialty aligned to your area of practice
