Provides screening to all visitors and staff entering the building. The Screener role models outstanding customer service by assessing customers needs, making decisions, and acting on those needs. The role is accountable to screen & greet patients and guests, providing accurate and timely information, and gives directions. All interactions are conducted in a courteous and professional manner ensuring a positive patient and family experience
Screen patients, visitors and employees with proper questions
Keeps up to date on changing policies, procedures and guidelines
Welcomes visitors, patients, and other guests to the hospital in a courteous and professional manner.
Presents a professional appearance and image at all times.
Assist in transporting individuals as needed
Directs guests to appropriate location, assists in giving accurate directions as requested or needed
Ensures area is cleaned, stocked and keep up to date information /signage
Follows and enforces universal masking guidelines
Calls for emergency assistance as appropriate.
Ability to manage difficult messages with patients and visitors applies de-escalation techniques and escalates issues as needed
Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, patients, families and other employees or the organization.
Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree (Preferred)
Excellent computer navigation skills.
Ability to work well under pressure with interruptions while meeting the physical demands of the position.
