This position will be working in locations where practice dynamics change yearly to support physicians who are in training/learning to specialize in the primary care fields of family and internal medicine and/or pediatrics. This role will be responsible for assisting primary care physicians/nurse practitioners in the examination and treatment of patients to deliver quality patient care.

High School Graduate or Equivalent
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant, is preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
Assist clinician with examinations/procedures *: including but not limited to joint injections, skin procedures, pap smear, long acting reversible contraception (LARC), colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, EKG
Flexibility to support multiple providers at different levels of learning and skill and establish relationships quickly and assist in coordination of care/chronic disease management between patients and physicians who are not available in the office full time
Act as liaison between patients or providers and supporting services including behavioral health, patient health navigators, social work, nutrition.
