Supports the Abstraction & Registry Department in obtaining, recording and collating patient and donor clinical dataused to capture patient health statuses, benchmarking with other organizations, and/or to meet regulatory standards using prescribed protocols andentering intoappropriate database systems.Works to acquire knowledge and skills related to system regulations and regulatory reporting as evidenced by assessments or reports.
Responsible for preparing and sending patient surveys.
Responsible for sending medical record requests to outside facilities that are needed for distant follow up patients.
Perform patient/donor survey follow up phone calls.
Responsible for collecting and entering patient and donor survey information into applicable databases per department guidelines and regulatory protocol.
Generating reports out of applicable databases.
Applies regulatory and registry abstraction guidelines utilizing clinical knowledge for accurate and timely data abstraction.
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Responsible for identifying areas for streamlining and process improvement in the data collection process.
Responsible for clerical and/or administrative duties as needed to support the department.
