The Adult Medicine practice on our Wilmington Hospital campus is part of an academic primary care center which brings together faculty and trainees dedicated to the care of the urban underserved. This practice trains the next generation of doctors in an innovative, collaborative care environment!

This position will be working in locations where practice dynamics change yearly to support physicians who are in training/learning to specialize in various primary care fields of medicine. This role will be responsible for assisting primary care physicians/nurse practitioners in the examination and treatment of patients to deliver quality patient care.

Education and experience requirements:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent

• A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

• 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant, is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Good organizational skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
