Job Summary:Radiology Tech needed for our Liberal satellite office three to seven days per month to start. Will travel to Liberal with clinic staff from Pratt or Dodge City. Will be completing x-rays for podiatry and orthopedic patients in clinic setting. Prepares and positions patient for any diagnostic imaging procedures. Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body requested by the physician. Explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff. Performs specialized and routine diagnostic procedures. Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control. Prepares images for read by radiologist or requesting physician. Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed. Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed. Seeks and assists other staff members with tasks if time allows.
Job Qualifications: Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; (1) year relates experiencducation and expee and/or training; or equivalent combination of erience. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified by the State Board of Health registry eligible with ARRT. Computer skills requried.
