The Registered Nurse (seasonal) has mastered basic technical and organizational nursing skills. Has skills in evaluating patient responses and uses past experiences and evidence-based practices in providing care and decision- making. There is a focus on outcomes, and care is delivered using a systematic approach. The Registered Nurse (seasonal) is able to make independent decisions guided by experience, as well as policies and standards. Consults with other members of the healthcare team when necessary. Maintain acceptable standards of patient care within the clinical area. The Registered Nurse (seasonal) is assigned to a specific patient care unit. The Registered Nurse (seasonal) tour of duty is no longer than 9 months and based on the organizationï¿½s staffing needs.

Assessment data, problem identification, and goals are written in the patientï¿½s care plan so that nurses as well as other health professionals caring for the patient have access to it.

Implementation ï¿½ Nursing care is implemented according to the care plan, so continuity of care for the patient during hospitalization and in preparation for discharge is assured. Care is documented in the patientï¿½s record.

Evaluation ï¿½ Both the patientï¿½s status and the effectiveness of the nursing care must be continuously evaluated, and the care plan modified as needed.
Care Coordination ï¿½ Actions initiated by nurses with patients, families, and/or members of their healthcare team to manage and correct the sequence, timing, and/or effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge.

Qualifications: LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or valid Compact license if primary residence is not in Arizona. BLS and other as noted in Attachment A for individual departments.
EDUCATION: Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
WORK EXPERIENCE: Required: Must have functioned in an RN role for a minimum of 1 year.
