Smith County Memorial Hospital has an employment opportunity for a surgical scrub technician. The scrub tech will contribute to the successful operation of the central sterilization/OR department by receiving, preparing, processing, storing, maintaining and dispensing sterile and non-sterile items and performing the duties of a scrub nurse in caring for patients. S/he ensures that management of the central sterilization/OR department complies with certification and accreditation standards and with SCMH policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have experience as an RN or LPN, OR experience preferred. Certified surgical scrub technologist preferred, but may be completed through training at SCMH. Schedule is subject to change based on business necessity. Scrub tech will be expected to participate in on-call rotation with the surgical staff.
